Investigation of Temperature Distribution in a Slab Using Lattice Boltzmann Method

In this paper, the temperature distribution in a slab was investigated. A model based on Boltzmann transport equation without heat source simplified using Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook (BGK) approximation applied. This is an example of Lattice Method. The developed D2Q4 lattice arrangement for medium study. To obtain results, tested different cases: Two box-shaped slabs with boundary conditions, and T-shaped L-shaped to determine distributions times t > 0. results obtained were validated enterprise software COMSOL Multiphysics which Finite Element For two cases slabs, their nearly perfect agreement finite element method. However, slab, there good at most points apart from regions where change shape. conclusion high between LBM COMSOL, proves that can be used accurately.
